Finally putting up some of my pictures from my Miami getaway this past October! Five days well spent in the sun celebrating seven (yes 7) years of awesomeness with Miguel, THE booboo of my life!
We tried to go to places people usually visit during short stays in Miami! Hence, we went to Downtown, took Citi bikes and rode along South Beach, we dressed up and for a nightout (had the club going up, on a Tuesday!), we drove down to Key West and visited the beautiful Vizcaya Gardens!
Food wise, Miguel was really inspired by Eddie Huang’s show “Huang’s World”. Therefore, we ate at a few places that were presented in the Miami edition episodes: Morro Castle in Little Havana, Chef Creole and BBQ Rib Shack by Da Lexx nightclub.
Oh and we also had some Popeyes (Miguel cannot go to the States and not have himself some good fried chicken!)! As for me, I was victorious in my quest to find a juice bar and got myself an açaï bowl (which I thought we didn’t have here in Montreal, but I actually found a place who makes them *tears*).
Have a great week everyone! xo
You have to stop by Morro Castle in the Little Havana neighborhood and try their Frita burger! So tasty!
We didn’t dance the night away because we had to wake up early the next morning for our roadtrip to Key West, but we really enjoyed our time at Blackbird Ordinary. The drinks are great, they grow their own fine herbs in the clubs terrasse, and the DJ did not disappoint!
On our way to Key West, we stopped by Robbie’s to feed some (creepy) tarpons. They literally jump out of water to grab the food from your hand! I won’t lie, I did scream my life out… several times!
You can’t go to Key West and not have some Key lime pie!
We actually trespassed government property to get this view! Sorry not sorry! The sunset was magical!
On our last day we visited the beautiful Viszcaya Mansion and Gardens. A true architectural masterpiece!
